On a wintry day like today, you need to find a good spot to have a hearty lunch. Somewhere cosy, with a fireplace and really good food. And 96 Winery Road is just the spot.

For mains, I had the slow braised lamb shoulder with sweet roasted parsnips, micro greens, mint and horseradish crème fraiche. It was delicious and the perfect hearty dish for a winter’s day.

Of course I had dessert … the red berry crumble with vanilla bean ice-cream. Loved it! Tart berry goodness with a yummy crumble topping. It tasted like more.

If you haven’t been to 96 Winery Road yet, do yourself a favour and go. Soon.
